That is a very good suggestion about copying the debug.keystore from the working machine and \i will try it in the morning when I have access to it again

I think the answer to the question is no, Nothing so far has worked on the netbook when mapview was involved. All crash with a force close. However on the machine upstairs, everything seems to work like with my previous computer.
