Hello Android World, I am struggling with being back to return back to my activity from the Home screen. It seems like my activity is being moved back to the background when the preceding activity calls the moveTaskToBack.
Let me flush out the scenario: 1) Launch activity A. 2) From activity A, start activity B (this activity started with FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK) and call moveTaskToBack. 3) Then Press "Home" Key or back key twice to get back to the Home Screen. 4) Then Launch activity A again. 5) Then activity A again tries to start activity B and call moveTaskToBack (again with the FLAG_ACTIVITY_NEW_TASK) but this time nothing appears on the screen. So what I did in my debugging was I added a sleep before I called moveTaskToBack and noticed now activity B appears for a brief time (matching durarion of the sleep) and then disappears because activity A called moveTaskToBack. This is very strange behavior and I dont understand why this is happening. Activity B should be a different task so I dont see why when activity A is being moved to the background that activity B is being taken along as well. Please help or suggest or anything! Thanks!!!!!
