Hi, I'll like to point out that Widget Design Guidelines lists standard cell sizes in pixels.
However, in launcher source code in Donut branch (SDK 1.6) cell sizes are in dip. This results in different pixel values on different density screens. I'll suggest documentation should be updated with respect to SDK 1.6.
