Can a seasoned droid help me with the steps necessary to add a couple simple attributes to the stock Android Contacts application. Also, in the event the vendor has shipped their own Contacts application, will the same solution apply equally well to those handsets shipped with custom apps? I'm not looking for anyone to supply code; just a design pattern and any caveats I need to be aware of. I am writing an application that requires a couple new properties on the contact.
