You can try this one:

Bitmap bm = null;

try {
                URL imageURL = new URL("http://example.com/image.jpg";);
                BufferedInputStream bis = new
BufferedInputStream(imageURL.openStream(), 1024);
                bm = BitmapFactory.decodeStream(bis);
                bis.close();
} catch (Exception e) {
    // handle
}

then you can call:

boxart.setImageBitmap(bm);
