I got a similar "brush off" response from HTC just now. Also claiming to not be able to replicate the problem. I forwarded them links to 3 different forums that I have been following where several people have been able to replicate the problem.
I don't expect any fix or recognition of a problem from HTC any time soon. My first taste of an HTC phone and I'm already regretting it.
