If I understand you're problem correctly: You've launched your app into ADC2 under the name you've intended for the final product. So, if I get this right - no, it's not a "stupid GOOGLE bug". The initial documentation and clarifications in this forum made it clear that ADC2 entries and final apps would not be able to coexist under the same name. First come, first served. Some paid attention, others didn't, and I believe you're out of luck on that one.
