I've ended up copying the 1.*-style divider (divider_horizontal_dark. 9.png) and changing -- android:src="?android:attr/listDivider" -- to -- src="@drawable/divider_horizontal_dark" -- from the snippet in the first post. Seems like they like breaking APIs for no reason.
