We have a list view that uses type-to-filter to good effect on devices with physical keyboards.
Right now, users without physical keyboards have no way to use the filter, and obviously we ought to fix that. I'm trying to work out what the 'usual approach' is, so as not to startle the users. But I'm not finding many examples of type-to-filter with a screen keyboard. The Contacts app doesn't seem to provide a way into TTF at all, though it does have a separate 'Search' mode which does a similar thing. So, is there a recommended solution ?
