Hi,
I'm an android user for some time now, my HTC G1 is upgraded to
the last version (firmware: 1.6, 62.50S.20.17H_2.22.19.26I, kernel
version: 2.6.29-00479-g3c7df37). The problem I'm having is related to
the caller-id.
I live in Argentina and my cell phone provider (Movistar) doesn't work
as expected, at least in relation with CID.
If I receive a call from another cell phone Movistar tells me that the
CID is 11-5555-6666, but when I receive an SMS from the exact same
phone that called me before the CID is 011-5555-6666 AND if I'm in
another country -like Chile where Movistar is also a provider- the CID
is +54-11-5555-6666.
+54 is the country code for Argentina
011 is the area code for Buenos Aires (where I live)
The cuestion is -since I can't get Movistar to fix this- :) is there a
way to tell Android to ignore some type of prefix numbers (in my case
I will happily ignore +5411, 11 and 011), or do a different type of
caller-id == "contact info" matching? Otherwise I have to add three
phone no. for every contact in my contact directory.
thanks,
daniel///
