Hi, I have this problem, hope somebody can give me a hint: I am trying to use the allocation tracker from the stand-alone-ddms, and it simply does not start.
Eclipse is completely stopped such a way it does not interfere with the ddms ports. I start the application, than start ddms, I can see in the left-panel the G1 device I am working on, and also the application. Pressing on the app I get all the vital info: - logcat all messages (bottom of ddms screen) - info: with information about the running process - Threads: can see all running threads in the applcation - VM Heap: can see the updated info about the heap and can refresh it with GC collect - Sysinfo is updated etc And now the issue, I need to run "Allocation Tracker", I press the tab, and when pressing on the "Start Tracking" button, that is enabled, it does not do anything. Setup description: - Ubuntu 9.10 - Linux kernel 2.6.31-15-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 10 14:54:29 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux - ddms rev 3 - adb 1.0.25 - sdk 1.5 PS: I do not really care to use ddms, nor allocation tracker. If any other tools/profilers for allocation tracking are available please let me know. I succeeded to get profiling info, but it doesn't contain the allocation info, so it is useless for my cause. Thank you. Best regards, Vlad -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
