This works for me: (there may be more than you need here)
WebView mywebview = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.wv1);
mywebview.setWebViewClient(new WebViewClient());
mywebview.setWebViewClient(getWebViewClient());
mywebview.getSettings().setSupportZoom(true) ;
mywebview.getSettings().setUseWideViewPort(true) ;
mywebview.setInitialScale(50) ;
mywebview.loadUrl(myUrl);
