Depends what you mean by "J2EE" client. A client could be just a web browser (Servlets and JSP are part of the JEE spec). You might mean more along the lines of a SOAP or JMS client or such though (which also can be done, not that they *should* be done, but can be). You need to clarify this quite a bit before anybody can really try to help you.
