Here is code that you can pretty much copy/paste to get working.
Button Whatever = (Button) findViewById(R.id.ButtonWhatever);
Whatever.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
public void onClick(View view) {
Intent myIntent = new Intent(view.getContext(),
PageToBeOpened.class);
startActivityForResult(myIntent, 0);
}
});
