I know I could use it and I think others have mentioned they would like to use it in their apps. Currently it is "internal" so we're not supposed to use it and we have to "roll our own" which is a pain (I've done it).
Also why does DatePicker only have a 200 year range (1900-2100)? Even the date gadget that the Pocket PC has goes back as far as mid 1700s. Add a range option on it.
