I can share my experience with AndAppStore and SlideMe if that helps. Feature-wise both are good, but each of them barely made 1% of total downloads over the last month. According to AAS stats, most of the traffic comes from Archos devices running Cupcake and non-android users (35% and 28% in my case). AFAIK Handango and Mobango accept Android apps as well, but haven't tried these two yet.
