If you don't have a tax advisor, there are plenty of IRS publications on the subject of business vs hobby income. I oversimplified in my last post.
http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=172833,00.html As it says: "If your activity is not carried on for profit, allowable deductions cannot exceed the gross receipts for the activity." - But even then, there is an advantage to taking the deductions you can. I do depend on income from the "activity" and as fun as it is I can't afford to do it for fun. But lets hope that 2010's profits will make the question obvious to the IRS. If not, I'll probably need to do different "activities" in 2010, or even before. Nathan -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
