Does anyone know if it is possible to transmit any Wifi packet from an Android device when not associated with an AP/network, other than 802.11 Broadcast Probe Requests? Does the NDK open any capability to utilize raw sockets? It appears that, using the WifiManager in the SDK, only allows Association Requests to be sent when Probe Responses return from an Access Point.
