If you have an app that meets the qualifications, but didn't get an email, check your spam folder. I found my email in my spam folder.
My email account which is with my web hosting company is setup to use Postini spam filtering. Postini is a spam filtering service offered by Google, and Postini categorized the "Device Seeding Program" email from Google as spam. Getting a new Android phone is great! Thank you Google!!! I have been chasing a problem with a difference in the way background services work on Android 2.0 and higher phones for several weeks now. My app works fine on my G1 phone running 1.6 and it also works fine on the SDK emulators for 2.0 and 2.1 phones. But something in the way that background services work on real 2.0 and higher phones and/or some difference between the way the emulator supports the new 2.0 stopForeground API and a real phone works with this API, is causing problems for customers running my app on newer phones. I wish the SDK emulators were better at emulating the real phone behavior. I can't wait to get a real phone running Android 2.1 so I can finally track down these types of issues. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
