I like your thinking out of the box on the write your resources in JSON and then write your own inflater :) That's a bit overkill just to get rid of all those android but if it itches, you've got to do what you've got to do :D Could you elaborate on the : "You can try to see if you can get the default namespace to work (xmlns="http://...";) reliably". If I only need to add a android: in front of id and not every where else, that's absolutely perfect. Thanks.
