I've noticed that with the update to the Maps application that comes with the Android, they introduced a few features such as different traffic overlays, terrain overlays and a scale factor display that can be placed at the bottom of the screen.
Is this part of a Google Labs API out there that they provide or possibly something they will add into the Google API in the future. I don't see it existing as a current option and I would like to have a scale icon in the bottom left of the screen while using my own Google Maps application. I don't want to have to go and do my own scale line based on pixel width translations on the screen if the tool is readily available for me to call upon already. Does anyone have any information regarding this? ~ JFrog "Debugging something is twice as hard as coding it up the first time.
