** START RANT ** Fortunately? How is that fortunate? OK, here is what I don't understand about Android. The API allows me to send SMS messages without starting the messaging app, but I can't place a phone call without going through the phone app. I really just don't get it. Both services cost money for the user. Why isn't this functionality exposed to the developers? That seems to be a decision without a lot of thought behind it. ** END RANT** -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
