I have an application on the Market that was named 'ShakeCall' and I successfully renamed it 'FlipCall'. I did not change the package, I signed it with the same certificate, and Android Market accepted it. At least one customer (Nexus One) went and downloaded the new version and ran it successfully.
Another customer:- 1. Purchased and successfully ran it on Cyanogen 2. Upgraded to latest Cyanogen 3. Attempted upgrade of my app - but it says 'Application unsigned'.
