On the NexusOne, there is a known issue with onStop not being called soon after an activity is no longer visible (e.g., by pressing Home key, or calling finish()). See related forum threads & http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=6094.
If my activity uses a service that is doing something cpu/battery intensive in the background (e.g., playing/streaming music, getting location, etc), the service will continue running until another activity is launched, causing my activity to be stopped/destroyed. Is there a good workaround that can be used to stop the service when the last activity method called is onPause? Checking isFinished() in onPause doesn't help in the case of a Home key press...
