Hi, don't know if this is the case for everyone but I am on a 1.5 device. HTC Hero and currently waiting for the 2.1 release from HTC that is being constantly delayed. 3 (in the UK) have been doing a push for new HTC Hero contracts (probably to get rid of the backlog whilst they stock the Desire), so this might also account for the sudden increase.
