Hello, I'm having a problem to read "Name (phonetic)" field from Android 2.1 phone, desire.
I have a contact application worked in Donut that stores the Phonetic name in "Name (phonetic)" field on Gmail contacts. * On Donut Contacts.PeopleColumns.PHONETIC_NAME is mapped to "Name (phonetic)" * On Eclair ContactsContract.CommonDataKinds.StructuredName.PHONETIC_GIVEN_NAME is mapped to "Given Name (phonetic)" ContactsContract.CommonDataKinds.StructuredName.PHONETIC_FAMILY_NAME is mapped to "Family Name (phonetic)" In addition, Contacts.PeopleColumns.PHONETIC_NAME returns always null. Users will upgrade from Donut to Eclair soon, and the Donut Android users using Japanese contacts have people's name, Phonetic name (a.k.a. Furigana or Yomi), in "Name (phonetic)" field. Is there anyway to read "Name (phonetic)"? Otherwise the users need to copy them into "Given Name (phonetic)" when migrating to Eclair?
