I see the .mp4 video as having a frame rate of 30fps and resolution
640 x 480. Is that an issue?

Also, I don't see the mp4 when I call list of all videos from within
my application by

Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_PICK);
i.setType("video/*");
startActivityForResult(i, PICK_VIDEO);

The only ones that show up are the .3gp video files located on my
sdcard.
