Check the task manager, and see how much CPU your emulator is getting,
and how much is being used overall.

If the CPU is pegged, and it's the emulator, either something is going
wrong in your Android environment on the emulator (maybe your app), or
your CPU is running at slow speed for some reason.

If the CPU is pegged, and it's not the emulator that's getting all
that CPU, there's your problem.

If the CPU is NOT pegged, but it's slow, look at memory usage or disk
IO as being the source of the problem.
