I debug with Eclipse. You should be able to use any Java debugger, but there are none that come close to Eclipse, and the SDK provides all this nice Eclipse integration you won't get anywhere else.
Why do you want to leave Eclipse behind? I mean, besides the inherent shortcomings of using an IDE to do production builds.
