Judging by the many times the GC kicks in, it sounds like something is constantly allocating memory.
Did you run your app in the DDMS with the heap debug running? And again- 1. What exactly is happening? 2. Do you see the same problem with and without debugger attached? 3. What is your app? What's the name, what's the package name? 4.
