If you are using IIS as your webserver simply go : Start | administrative tools | Internet Service Manager (IIS)
On the left pane select your server, in the right pane you'll be given a lot of options. Scroll down until you see Mime types. Double-click it, you'll see all the combination extension/mime type. Just add the one that String provided below : .apk application/vnd.android.package-archive Click ok. and you might have to restart the webserver. You're done.
