You do not need additional libraries, as android already got
HttpClient
I do following:

httpClient = new DefaultHttpClient();
HttpPost httpRequest = new HttpPost(PUSH_URL);
List<NameValuePair> pairs = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>();
pairs.add(new BasicNameValuePair("name", entry.getName()));
...
httpRequest.setEntity(new UrlEncodedFormEntity(pairs));
HttpResponse response = httpClient.execute(httpRequest);
