How about an easy way to put it on your desk at work and it magically (wirelessly) can drive a larger screen and keyboard sitting there. In other words the android device becomes laptop-ish.

Hi there! Android is hot - I definitely want a mobile phone that supports Android, and hopefully I will get one this year. 3 years ago I planned to buy a mobile phone with Linux. Now I think about which hardware my new mobile phone should have. Here are my ideas up to now. Must-have: - standard communication hardware (GPRS / GSM / perhaps UMTS) for telephony and SMS - WLAN (hopefully with WPA2 Enterprise support in order to use it in my university) - nice display (at least 24 bit colours, 480x640 would be great) - slot for SD card (for saving lots of data: documents, music, videos) - TRS connector (3.5mm, for attaching a standard headset - this definitely turns the mobile phone into a media player, other solutions with special connectors are ugly) Important: - GPS chipset (very interesting for route tracking, Google Maps and maybe even a navigation system) - 3D support (hardware acceleration) with OpenGL Nice to have: - photo / video camera What about you? Which hardware should be in your future mobile phone? I would like to gather ideas here in order to buy the possibly best Linux mobile phone. And of course this thread may be a good indicator for hardware manufacturers. :-) Regards Marc Reichelt || http://www.marcreichelt.de/ This e-mail and any attachments may contain confidential and privileged information.
