Hi:
Check your networking related libraries, suck as libnsl*,
libresolv* libnss*.
And as i remember, you'd better not use the ping which comes
from the android rootfs, you get the busybox from
http://benno.id.au/blog/2007/11/14/android-busybox
which contains ping applet, you can try to run it.
