Well, maybe. I watched the first video they had, but I think it's the
wrong way to go. There's too many people who don't understand the
basics of a computer. The low level stuff. Moving even farther away
from that is not a great idea imo. I mean, would you take your car to
a mechanic who only knew how to change the oil?

And I really wasn't too impressed with the video. Whether you type out
a line of code or you drag-and-drop it like this appears to do, you
still need to know what it does. Plus, showing students doing drag-and-
drop in one frame of the video, then moving to some whiz-bang sims-
style 3d world like it only took 2 clicks of a mouse is quite
misleading to people who don't know any better.

If they want to get young people involved, then companies need to make
it a good career choice. Those companies also need to work with young
professionals on what they want out of their careers. Things like
flexible working arrangements (telecommute, flexible hours, job
sharing), advancement, continuing education, job security, etc.. I
imagine there's quite a few people who are very bright, but what
companies offer just doesn't appeal to them. I know I've had a hard
time with this.
