Okay, I'll plead guilty to stirring the wrong things up, but here's a
good example of steel sharpens steel.  The first Android release did
not have touch support.  Then a very quick and dirty touch was
introduced which is causing lots of problems.  Why was touch
introduced, the iPhone showed everyone how to do it right.  Android
will get it right.  Likewise the notification mechanism in Android is
great.  But, it is an event mechanism, that Apple will choose to
implement using existing mechanisms.  You wouldn't see Google sitting
on the board at Apple if the two companies were not supportive of one
another.  I don't know if anyone from Apple sits on the board at
Google.
