Hi, All: The Linux-based mobile phones are very limited in Market now. Can we de-couple Android from Linux-os?
Some questions: - How much Linux/OS API does Dalvik use? I can only find info as os services "for process isolation, threading support and low-level memory management". Can someone list all OS APIs (Services) Dalvik need from Linux? - What is part of "Andoid Core Libraries"? - How difficult to port Dalvik to non-linux os, say, Nucleus? - Is there any porting guide for Dalvik VM? - Is Dalvik VM spec available for download? - Is Dalvik VM source codes available for download? - Is "Application Framework" and "Libraries" configurable? if yes, Whichs parts of them are optional?
