In ADC1 if you entered as a team all team members had to enter into various contracts, especially if you got into the semi-finals: so you have the same issue as an individual. I would think a Business Entity is your best bet. You can set it up in your name and then employ your son. You would have to talk to an accountant about tax implications and what is the best structure for where you live. However, since the terms and conditions may be totally different for ADC2 (e.g. maybe they'll have a junior division) all this is just idle speculation. If your son is capable of developing an app that could win ADC2 then I say build it anyway.
