I was always on the fence getting a Nokia Internet Tablet. What pushed me over was the possibility to flash Android on the N810. Curious after all. So I got one the other day and flashed Android on it. I put a couple of pics on my homepage (as always with such shots, not so stellar quality), and a link to a site providing flashable images built by a team of old school hackers (using the original term here in the most positive way). http://www.joachimpfeiffer.com/Connections/android.html
They've done a nice job and spent some effort on details like integrating the touch screen, and built it such that OS2008 doesn't need being wiped out. Unfortunately they used M3. It also isn't terribly stable, but then, this is more proof of concept than product engineering. More shouldn't be put in a preview like M3 anyway I guess... I loaded one of my apps which I still have around in M3 and it worked right off the bat. Enjoy. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
