Thinking of installation packages from google or the community. So
that I can put Android on my exisitng Phone on my own risk - like I do
with Linux without the support of the OEM. Of course OEMs want to sell
new phones, so there are no software updates or different OSs at all.
And of course, google wan't to get the big shot with the OEMs to get
al lot of phones out there. But I think it's the whole point of
opensource to be independet from the hardware manufacturer.

So why is there no installer for existing popular phones? Where is the
Problem? I also don't have to buy a new PC to use Linux? Why I have to
buy a new Phone?
