My PRIMARY concern regarding Android and Google calendars (or PIM in
general, for that matter) is ensuring that local copies are stored on the
device.  I go in and out of WiFi/cellular coverage throughout my day and
cannot rely exclusively on the cloud for my calendar and contacts data.
Being able to sync a copy of all the calendars I view (my own, my family
members', and public calendars) to my device for use offline will be
crucial, at least for me.
