Eric Schmidt has talked about this recently (bullet point 4). http://tinyurl.com/6l68wt
Hypothetically Android would support car based: Google Search LBS contextual information and advertising delivery GPS Tracking Whether and Traffic feeds News and Information Streaming Video The only thing missing is an automated voice based system to query/respond to the driver (If Google411 cant be modified for this an Asterisk* based system could very easily). I can imagine how a low cost, low barrier to entry, customizable mobile based platform would end up in a car... Oh yeah I think this thread just killed Onstar... :) Allen On Sat, Aug 30, 2008 at 8:38 AM, plusminus <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Changing the Emulator-Screensize is possible! > See: > > http://href.to/qzi > > Regards, plusminus > http://anddev.org > # Worlds largest Android Development Community / Tutorials > > On 28 Aug., 04:13, marsim <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi everyone, > > > > I wonder if it's possibile to start to think to Andorid as an embedded > > platform to develop custom and interconnected applications.
