I'm floating an idea at the moment which will allow anyone to set up an app shop and/or certification process and allow numerous third parties to mark an Android application as trusted. This should allow users to see who trusts which apps and allow them to make a choice as to whether they trust the application based on the number of trust signatures the app has.
I'm still looking for feedback, so if you're interested please have a look at the blog post I made last week at http://alsutton.wordpress.com/2008/09/17/google-android-and-code-signing-app-shops/ Al. niraj wrote: > Is there any plans for "certify" apps on android. iPhone - has an > approval process and they basically say that I dont like your app and > hence you cannot sell it.
