Emailed Funambol and got this reply. Looks like they will have the
product but will probably be basic.
"Contacts filtering is on our product roadmap but unfortunately there
are higher priority features that we need to build first. Also
unfortunately, it's part of our core software so it's not something
that we could have someone else help us with. My best guess at this
time is that we'll get to it sometime in 2009 but I don't know exactly
when."

A contact filter would be very nice for the Android sync.
Blackberry's Intellisync does it well and is very robust.  I guess we
have to crawl before we walk.
