With all of the uncertainty over the Google Android Market I thought I'd take a punt at putting something together that will give anyone developing an android application has a place to make it available, and that early android users have a place to find apps.
I've put what I've done so far up at http://andappstore.com/, it's open for registrations, app uploads, etc., but it's still a work in progress so I'd welcome any comments, suggestions, etc. but please make them a bit more useful than "you need to add a voting system", "you need to add an app purchasing system", and "you suck at web design":). When putting any applications up you can provide a homepage which has information about the app, when you put in release information you'll need to supply a download URL for an APK which has the correct MIME type for installers. Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone who gives it a spin, and comments are welcome... Al. P.S. Yes, the site will work in the android emulator browser, but because of the unknown source problem in the current SDK you can't install stuff from it :(. -- Al Sutton W: www.alsutton.com B: alsutton.wordpress.com T: twitter.com/alsutton --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
