Sam records which record from the catalog feed it last read and will just pick up new information as it comes in. So if a developer changes (or deletes) the catalog information, it will be picked up in the next poll of the client. The internal sam database is updated. If the developer releases a new version, then a new bundle id is assigned and it will be displayed under the catalog list on sam. The 'My Downloads' section will also display an icon, indicating that an update is available.
