Writing a keyboard app yourself may turn out more difficult that it
would have to be:
The Android system does not allow one application to inject key
commands to another application. The only exception is if you want to
write an automated test for your app. In this case, the testing app
and the app itself have to be signed by the same key. But using this
mechanism, your virtual keyboard would only work with application you
signed yourself...
