I have their prepaid plan (T-Mobile To Go) for my current phone. If
you're not a heavy cell user, it's pretty sweet -- I've been spending
$100/year on service. However, the only data "plan" I recall being
associated with it was $1/day for something with their Sidekicks, not a
full-on data plan. And I'm not sure you can get a regular data plan to
go alongside T-Mobile To Go.

I was planning on moving to a regular plan when I get a shot at a G1,
mostly for data.

If you can live without a data plan for those five months, though, this
approach should work.

I'm not sure how much the T-Mo early termination fee will be.

I seem to recall there being a Web site somewhere where people bought
and sold cell phone plans, but I don't recall its name. What you really
need is somebody to take over your plan after five months, putting it on
their own phone (e.g., something unlocked they bought off eBay).
