I'm looking at how to send a pause in a phone number. Normally this would be done by putting a 'P' into the number. The emulator dialer and contact list do not let you enter a 'P'.
RFC 3966 (about the tel: URI) says ' "Dial strings" are the actual numbers, symbols, and pauses entered by a user to place a phone call.' but later in the RFC it says ' Compared to RFC 2806, references to carrier selection, dial context, fax and modem URIs, post-dial strings, and pause characters have been removed. ' So a dial string can contain a pause yet the pause characters have been removed? So then how does one have a pause when dialing a call? thanks, Patrick --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
