This is my first time posting and so I would like to say that I'm very happy to be one of the first among the people I know to own the G1 (got mine Oct. 20th) and my love for the device is growing every day.
With that said, I previously owned a blackberry and although it lacked in many areas where the G1 excels, I feel it still did have a great, stable OS and executed very well. The biggest upset with the Blackberry for me was that its Handango market was crazy expensive and so all the things you'd expect a blackberry to do like office work (document editing, email attachment managment, etc.) was a pricey app you had to purchase. The AIM software sucked so I purchased Bee Jive which is probably the best I'M app I've used thus far going from a razor to a sidkick, Dash, Blackberry and now my G1. But my most used program was the simple little NOTE PAD. Anyone who is familiar with the Curve knows what I am talking about. I'm a writer and also I attend a lot of meetings and don't always carry a book, and so the note pad for me as well as many others like myself is seriously needed. ESPECIALLY considering this device has a very neatly made key pad which the curve DID NOT. Pardon the abrasive tone but I'm growing more and more frustrated everytime I check the market place see a new app that nobody I even know would ever use on a daily basis. A BMI calculator on my phone? Like are you serious? Checking your Body Mass Index is more important than being able to write down important information or perhaps your next hit, if your a musician, in a rush or on the move... I don't understand. Please help! Thanks. O... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
